Following The 8-8-8 Life Rule

There is a very easy way to achieve more by working less. All it requires is a simple tweaking of your daily routines and self-discipline to achieve something entirely achievable which will definitely change your life for the better. In today’s era, our lives revolve around work, and while I hope we all may enjoy our jobs, a work-life balance and maximum productivity are essential. There are multiple health risks from overworking, both physical and mental, in fact, even your posture might permanently change from sitting in one position for too long.

Unfortunately, overworking and ridiculously long work hours have become the new norm. Weekends also turn into regular work days as they are now exceedingly viewed as days to catch up on work instead of resting. So, it is more important than ever at this point in time to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Here are a few tips to implement the 8-hour rule in your life so it may change for the better in all areas and aspects of your life.  The 8-hour rule essentially states that you dedicate 8 hours to sleep, 8 hours to work, and 8 hours to leisure time, efficiently dividing the 24-hour day into three separate sectors, with each sector dedicated to one particular overarching theme.

For the work, it is believed that 80% of the results are achieved from 20% of the activities, so discard ineffective and unproductive activities during your work hours and only focus on the important ones. Also, learn to delegate tasks and say no to tasks that are not your responsibility or that you cannot do at that moment for whatever reason. The 8 hours of leisure time are entirely for you, so enjoy yourself and enable your hobbies or learn an interesting new skill. Take your 8 hours of sleep very seriously, as not doing so can lead to a lot of health issues!
